In Loving Memory of Edwviges “Vicky” Meza Castillo

Federal Heights, Colorado –It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Edwviges “Vicky” Meza Castillo, a beloved mother, sister, friend, and guiding light to so many in the Federal Heights community. Vicky passed away peacefully in the early hours of July 13, 2025, at 12:57 AM, surrounded by love and prayers.

Vicky was more than just a name to those who knew her—she was the embodiment of compassion, resilience, and quiet strength. A devoted mother, she poured her heart into raising her family with dignity and warmth, often putting the needs of others before her own. Her nurturing spirit, infectious smile, and deep faith made her a comforting presence in the lives of everyone around her.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Vicky will remember her for her unwavering kindness and generosity. Whether it was preparing meals for neighbors, offering words of encouragement, or sharing her stories with humor and grace, she touched lives in ways both big and small. She carried with her a quiet dignity and an open heart, never seeking attention, only the joy of connection.

As her loved ones come together to grieve, they are also uniting around her final wish—to be returned to Mexico, the land of her birth, to reunite with family and ancestors who preceded her. This was a dream Vicky carried with her—a spiritual homecoming that reflects the deep roots of love and tradition she held close all her life.

The Meza Castillo family is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support during this difficult time. Friends and neighbors have come forward with kind words, prayers, and generous offers to help. Any assistance toward helping fulfill Vicky’s final journey home is deeply appreciated as the family navigates both emotional and logistical challenges.

In honoring Vicky’s memory, may we all be inspired by her compassion, her grace, and her unwavering commitment to family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of love that cannot be measured and a void that cannot be filled—but her light continues to shine in the hearts of those she touched.

Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. Details regarding memorial arrangements and fundraising efforts to support her repatriation to Mexico will be shared in the coming days.

Rest in peace, Vicky. You will never be forgotten.
