It is with immense grief that we announce the passing of Cohen Sinclair Turner, who tragically lost his life early this morning when the vehicle he was in was swept off the road by flash flooding. Forced into a life-threatening situation, Cohen and his friend escaped the submerged vehicle through the sunroof. In a selfless and heroic act, Cohen sacrificed his own safety to push his struggling friend to a nearby tree for refuge.
This brave act defines true heroism — putting another’s life above your own. Sadly, Cohen was swept under the water afterward and later recovered by emergency personnel. His family and community are devastated by the loss of such a remarkable individual.
Cohen was more than just a hero in his final moments; he was a person of immense courage, kindness, and generosity throughout his life. His passing leaves a profound void, especially for his loving parents, Jay and Robin Turner, who now face the unimaginable pain of losing their son.
We ask you to keep the Turner family in your prayers and thoughts during this devastating time. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Rainwater Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses and support the family through this tragedy.
Cohen Sinclair Turner’s sacrifice will never be forgotten. His courage and selflessness stand as a powerful reminder of the greatest love — giving one’s life for another. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy inspire us all.
