According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting around 4:41 p.m. at the apartment complex. Upon arrival, they discovered Zachary suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where — despite the efforts of medical staff — he was later pronounced deceased.
As of now, no suspect or motive has been identified in the case. The BRPD has stated that the investigation remains ongoing, and they are urging anyone with information to come forward to help provide answers and bring justice to Zachary’s grieving loved ones.
