In Loving Memory of John Flentz: USPSA Grandmaster and Team USA Champion

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Flentz, a beloved member of the competitive shooting community and a true legend in the world of practical shooting. John passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of excellence, sportsmanship, and unmatched dedication to his craft.

John Flentz was not only a USPSA Grandmaster, but also a proud representative of the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) and a decorated member of Team USA. Throughout his career, he competed at the highest levels, showcasing his skills on the world stage at multiple IPSC World Shoots, earning both national and international respect. His discipline, drive, and sharp focus made him a formidable competitor, but it was his humility, kindness, and willingness to mentor others that truly set him apart.

Those who knew John personally describe him as a quiet force—someone who led by example, not by volume. Whether he was sharing tips on the range, cheering on a teammate, or pushing himself in competition, he brought the same passion and integrity to everything he did. For many young competitors and enthusiasts, John was more than an icon—he was an inspiration and a guide.

As we remember and honor his incredible life, we invite all friends, fellow shooters, and members of the community to join us in celebrating John’s legacy.
