It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Jesus Rodriguez-Rocha, a beloved member of the La Puente community, who was fatally shot on the night of Saturday, August 2, 2025. He was 56 years old.
The incident occurred shortly before midnight in the 100 block of South Shipman Avenue in La Puente. Responding deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the scene following reports of gunfire. Sadly, Jesus was pronounced deceased at the location. His identity was later confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
At the time of this report, no suspect information has been made public, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under active investigation. Authorities have not yet released details about a possible motive or whether the incident was targeted or random.
