MILWAUKEE, WI — Tragedy struck downtown Milwaukee over the weekend when a quintuple shooting unfolded just after midnight near Water and Michigan Streets, claiming the lives of two cherished community. Today, families confirmed the identity of the second victim as 39-year-old Kevin Lewis, known to many as “Bubbles” or “Bubbs.” His death accompanies that of 52-year-old Antwan Hogans, also known and loved throughout the city as “Tweezy.”
Milwaukee Police have now identified the suspect in the shooting as 24-year-old Malik Darnell Hayes, who was taken into custody late Sunday following a brief manhunt. Hayes is currently being held pending formal charges.

Around 12:05 AM on Saturday, officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire near Water and Michigan Streets, an area known for its nightlife. They found five individuals shot—Kevin Lewis and Antwan Hogans were pronounced dead at the scene, while three other victims were transported to local hospitals.
Thanks to witness statements, surveillance footage, and swift police action, 24-year-old Malik Darnell Hayes was identified as the primary suspect. Authorities confirmed Hayes was apprehended without further incident and remains in custody at the Milwaukee County Jail.
