Westerly, RI — The community is mourning the sudden and tragic loss of Joel Trebisacci, a 47-year-old resident of Westerly, whose life was cut short following an incident in Stonington this past Saturday.
According to reports from NBC Connecticut and the Stonington Police Department, emergency responders were called to the Stonington Town Fishing Dock after a distressing situation involving a diver. Upon arrival, first responders attempted to perform CPR on Mr. Trebisacci in an effort to revive him.
Joel was immediately transported to Westerly Hospital for emergency treatment, but despite the valiant efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
