SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: Gunfire Erupts Near 500 E 12th Street in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, IN — August 6, 2025 | 6:45 PM — Mishawaka Police are investigating a disturbing shooting incident that unfolded near 500 E 12th Street earlier this evening, sending shockwaves through a residential neighborhood.

According to preliminary reports, at approximately 6:30 PM, residents in the area heard a series of six gunshots ring out in rapid succession. Witnesses say a silver sedan approached the scene and opened fire on a red Jeep parked or driving in the vicinity. The suspect vehicle then reportedly fled the area, traveling westbound on 12th Street.
