LAKE COUNTY, IL — August 6, 2025 — Authorities are currently investigating a tragic shooting that resulted in the death of a man at the Naval Station Great Lakes base on Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., emergency responders from the Great Lakes Fire Department, Great Lakes Police Department, and North Chicago Fire Department were dispatched to 3200 Illinois Street in Great Lakes following reports of a shooting on the military installation.
