Fatal One-Vehicle Crash in New Brockton Claims Two Lives

New Brockton, AL – Early this morning, August 10, 2025, at approximately 5:54 a.m., the Coffee County Coroner’s Office was alerted to a fatal one-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Roads 127 and 147 in New Brockton, Alabama.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found a single vehicle involved in the accident with two deceased occupants inside. The victims have been identified as Brian Justin Baldwin, a resident of New Brockton, and Brittany Faye Dakota Taylor, who was from Ariton. Both Mr. Baldwin and Ms. Taylor sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, the 12th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, and the Coffee County Coroner’s Office are all actively working together to determine the cause and contributing factors of this tragic collision.
