WICHITA FALLS, Texas — The Wichita Falls Police Department (WFPD) has confirmed that two individuals were found dead this afternoon following a check welfare call on Reilly Road.
According to WFPD, officers were dispatched to the location at approximately 3:40 p.m. after receiving a request to check on the welfare of individuals at the residence. Upon arrival, police discovered two subjects deceased inside the property.
The scene was quickly secured as members of the Crimes Against Persons Unit arrived to begin a thorough investigation. While the cause of death for either individual has not been publicly released, authorities have stated that the circumstances are being treated as suspicious until further evidence suggests otherwise.
Detectives spent several hours at the scene, collecting evidence and interviewing neighbors and potential witnesses. Crime scene tape cordoned off the area, and police vehicles remained stationed along Reilly Road as officers worked.
Officials have not yet released the names or ages of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin. It remains unclear whether foul play was involved or if the deaths were the result of another cause.
WFPD is asking the public for patience as the investigation unfolds and has promised to release more details as they become available.
“We will update this post when more information is available,” the department said in a public statement.
Residents in the area are urged to remain vigilant and report any unusual activity or information related to the case to the Wichita Falls Police Department. This is a developing story, and updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
