Homicide Investigation Underway After Teen Fatally Shot in Spring Hill

SPRING HILL, Tenn. — Authorities in Spring Hill are conducting a homicide investigation following a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a 17-year-old on Sunday night at the Grand Reserve apartments.

According to the Spring Hill Police Department, officers were dispatched to 3085 Commonwealth Drive at approximately 8:15 p.m. on August 10 after multiple calls reported gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, officers found the teenage victim lying in the parking lot, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders provided immediate aid before transporting the teen to a nearby hospital. Despite lifesaving efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Officials have not yet released his name, pending notification of family.

Witnesses at the scene reported seeing a suspect fleeing in a blue sedan with visible damage to the right front bumper. Detectives worked late into the night, canvassing the area, collecting forensic evidence, and interviewing potential witnesses to piece together the events leading to the shooting.

Spring Hill Police say they are treating the case as a homicide and are committed to finding those responsible. “This was a tragic and senseless act of violence that took the life of someone far too young,” a department spokesperson said. “We will not rest until justice is served.”

The investigation remains active, and authorities are urging anyone with information — particularly those who may have seen the suspect vehicle or have security footage from the area — to contact the Spring Hill Police Department immediately.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers, and officials stress that even small pieces of information could be crucial in solving the case.
