A proud graduate of Carroll High School, Class of 2021, he was a dedicated member of the school’s band, where he played the French horn—a reflection of his deep appreciation for music and his creative soul.

Jayden, lovingly known by many as “Ty,” was in the midst of completing his automobile mechanic apprenticeship, following his love for cars and the open road. He was an active member of Underrated Motors and 765 Motors, two local car clubs where he found community, camaraderie, and joy in customizing vehicles, especially his beloved Colorado truck.

Ty lived a life fueled by passion, curiosity, and the great outdoors. He found happiness in kayaking, boating, fishing, shooting, and traveling—always eager for new experiences and scenic adventures. Whether under the hood of a car or out on the water, he was in his element. He was also known for his love for animals, sharing a special bond with his cat Sissy, and forever cherishing the memory of his late dog and best fur friend, Bullett.

Ty’s presence was a gift to all who knew him—kind-hearted, mechanically gifted, funny, and fiercely loyal. He leaves behind a deeply grieving but incredibly proud family:

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Pettit, a devoted and long-time member of our fire company family, and a former Auxiliary President whose tireless dedication, compassion, and leadership left an indelible mark on our organization and our community.

For countless years, Betty gave her heart, her time, and her unwavering support to the fire company and its auxiliary. Whether it was organizing events, supporting fundraisers, or simply lending a helping hand wherever it was needed, Betty was always there—a dependable and loving presence who inspired everyone around her.

Her commitment was not limited to her own role; her legacy was shared with her beloved husband, Bob Pettit, who also served proudly as a member of the fire company. Together, they embodied a life of selfless service and deep-rooted community values. Their partnership was a shining example of what it means to care—not just for each other, but for a whole town.
