Terrifying Attack at Tennessee Walmart: Six Injured, One Critical After Rampage by Unidentified Man

TENNESSEE — A shocking and violent scene unfolded inside a Walmart store on Saturday when an unidentified man, believed to be homeless, launched a biting attack that left six people injured—one of them critically.

The suspect, who has not yet been named by authorities, entered the store in a disoriented state around midday. Witnesses said he appeared to be “in a daze” and possibly living on the streets. What followed was a chaotic and deeply disturbing episode that left shoppers and staff reeling.

A Violent Encounter with Only His Teeth

According to eyewitness Rachel Stephenson, who was shopping at the time, the man wandered aimlessly into the store, looking detached and unstable. When approached by a Walmart employee, he suddenly lunged and sank his teeth into the worker’s arm.

“As soon as the employee got close, he attacked and bit down hard,” Stephenson recalled. “Another man tried to help, and the suspect turned and bit him right in the neck. There was blood everywhere. It was terrifying.”

Stephenson also said the man’s teeth looked unusually sharp, almost like “fangs,” and that his behavior was completely unhinged. “Every time someone tried to stop him, he lashed out and bit them.”

    Customers Step In—and Get Bitten

Three more individuals—two customers and a second employee—attempted to restrain the attacker. All were bitten in the process. Eventually, with help from several bystanders, they managed to bring the man down and restrain him using belts and nearby items until law enforcement arrived.

In total, six people were bitten. One victim, who was bitten in the neck, was transported to the hospital in critical condition due to a severed artery. The remaining victims are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

    Suspect in Custody, Identity Unknown

The suspect, who remains unidentified, was taken into custody and transported to a Tennessee psychiatric hospital for evaluation. Authorities have not yet determined whether drugs or other substances played a role in the violent outburst. He carried no identification, and his name has not been released.

    A Community Left in Shock

The attack has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising concerns about safety, mental health care, and public awareness.

“This is something you’d expect in a movie, not in real life,” said one customer. “It was a nightmare—he was growling, biting, and just wouldn’t stop.”

Local police praised the courage of those who stepped in to protect others. “Had it not been for the brave actions of several customers and store employees, this could have been even worse,” an officer said.

    Investigation Ongoing

Police are now working to confirm the suspect’s identity and determine what led to the attack. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and asking for the public’s help in identifying the man. For now, no charges have been filed pending the outcome of his psychiatric evaluation.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact local authorities immediately.

As the community recovers from this traumatic event, many are expressing gratitude for the bystanders who stepped up—and deep concern for the victims, especially the individual still fighting for their life in the hospital.

First responders arrived at the scene within minutes and rendered immediate aid. Clayton was rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

TRAGEDY IN NYC: Two Dead After Stolen Car Packed with Drugs & Alcohol Crashes Into Sidewalk

NEW YORK CITY — A devastating and avoidable tragedy unfolded in Lower Manhattan on Saturday morning, July 19, leaving two innocent people dead and an entire city shaken. A stolen blue Chevy Malibu, loaded with drugs and alcohol, careened off the Manhattan Bridge around 7:30 a.m., violently striking a 63-year-old woman sitting on a bench and a man riding a bicycle. Both victims were killed instantly in the horrific crash.

    The Scene of the Crash

The impact occurred near Canal Street, one of the city’s busiest intersections, where early morning foot and bike traffic is common. Witnesses described the chaotic moment when the speeding car, reportedly driving erratically, mounted the sidewalk with no attempt to brake.

The Malibu also struck a parked NYPD van, causing additional damage. Officers in the vicinity quickly responded, chasing down two young women, ages 23 and 22, who had attempted to flee on foot. The suspects were apprehended a short distance from the scene.

    Victims Identified

One of the victims has been identified as May Kwok, a 63-year-old Brooklyn resident known for her kindness, strong community ties, and dedication to caring for her family. Her tragic and sudden death has sparked an outpouring of grief, especially from her brother, Peter Kwok, who demanded accountability.

“This wasn’t an accident — this was a crime,” Peter said during an emotional press briefing near the crash site. “My sister was simply enjoying her morning routine, sitting in peace. Now she’s gone. We want justice.”

The second victim, a male cyclist, has not yet been named publicly as authorities work to notify his family.

    A Car Full of Contraband

According to NYPD officials, the blue Chevy Malibu had not been returned after being rented several weeks ago and was reported stolen. Inside the vehicle, investigators discovered numerous bottles of alcohol, marijuana, and a stash of prescription pills — pointing to what authorities called a “mobile party scene” turned deadly.

Both suspects were transported to Bellevue Hospital for drug and alcohol testing. Charges are pending, but officials expect a wide range of felony counts, including vehicular manslaughter, reckless endangerment, possession of a stolen vehicle, and drug-related offenses.

    Ongoing Investigation

NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is leading the probe and is currently analyzing surveillance footage, forensic evidence from the car, and witness statements. Police Commissioner Edward Caban condemned the behavior and assured the public that a full investigation is underway.

“This is a heartbreaking example of what happens when recklessness and criminality meet on our city streets,” Caban said. “We will hold those responsible fully accountable.”

    Community Reacts

The crash has left many New Yorkers rattled and angry. On social media, the hashtag #JusticeForMayKwok began trending by mid-morning, as hundreds expressed condolences and called for stronger penalties for stolen vehicle crimes and impaired driving.

Residents of Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan have also renewed calls for increased traffic enforcement near bridges and major intersections, where speeding and illegal vehicle use have been on the rise.

    A Call for Justice

As the families of the victims grapple with this unimaginable loss, city leaders and local advocates are urging systemic changes to prevent further senseless deaths on New York’s streets.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has additional footage is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.

“No one should lose a loved one like this,” said a neighbor of the Kwok family. “She was a light in this world. And her light was stolen by selfishness.”

  • Lake Charles Man Arrested on Disturbing Child Exploitation and Bestiality Charges

Lake Charles Man Arrested on Disturbing Child Exploitation and Bestiality Charges

CALCASIEU PARISH, LA — In a deeply disturbing case that has shocked the community, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) has arrested 27-year-old Zachary P. Gautreau of Lake Charles for the alleged possession of child sexual abuse material and a video depicting sexual abuse of an animal. The arrest was made on Thursday, July 18, following an extensive investigation by law enforcement authorities.

According to a press release issued by the CPSO, detectives with the Special Victims Unit launched an investigation after receiving a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tip reportedly linked Gautreau to illicit material being uploaded or accessed online from a local address.

Following the tip, a search warrant was obtained for Gautreau’s residence, where digital evidence was seized and later analyzed by forensics experts. That examination, according to CPSO, uncovered nine counts of pornography involving juveniles, commonly referred to as child sexual abuse material, as well as evidence of sexual abuse of animals, including a video of bestiality allegedly in his possession.

    Charges and Custody

Gautreau was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on the following charges:

•9 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles

    •Sexual Abuse of Animals (Bestiality)

As of Friday, Gautreau remains behind bars. His bond is currently pending, and additional charges could be forthcoming as investigators comb through more digital devices and files obtained during the raid.

    Ongoing Investigation

Sheriff Tony Mancuso issued a statement acknowledging the disturbing nature of the case and reaffirming the department’s commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of society.

“The exploitation of children in any form is absolutely abhorrent and will be pursued aggressively by our office,” said Sheriff Mancuso. “I commend our Special Victims Unit for their professionalism and diligence in this difficult and emotionally taxing investigation.”

The case remains active, with law enforcement agencies working in conjunction with federal partners, including the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), to determine whether Gautreau had any known contact with minors or involvement in any online networks.

    Community Shock and Concern

The arrest has sparked alarm and outrage across Calcasieu Parish and beyond, particularly due to the dual nature of the charges—both crimes involving children and animals. Parents, educators, and child advocacy groups have voiced serious concern and are calling for increased vigilance online and within the community.

“This case is horrifying on every level,” said one local resident. “It’s a stark reminder of the hidden dangers that can exist, even in our own neighborhoods.”

    Public Urged to Remain Vigilant

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with additional information about Gautreau or suspicious online activity to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously by contacting CPSO at (337) 491-3605 or Crime Stoppers at (337) 439-2222.

Authorities are also encouraging parents and guardians to speak with their children about internet safety and to monitor digital devices and communications regularly.

    Legal Process Ahead

Gautreau is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. However, if convicted, he could face significant prison time and lifetime registration as a sex offender. Louisiana law treats child sexual abuse materials and crimes involving animals with severe penalties, particularly when multiple counts are involved.

As investigators continue their work, the community waits anxiously for justice and prays for healing in the wake of this deeply unsettling case.

Belizean Entrepreneur Jolene Thurton Killed in Los Angeles: Communities in Mourning Across Two Nations

LOS ANGELES, CA / BELIZE — Heartbreak rippled across two countries this week with the devastating news that Jolene Thurton, a beloved Belizean entrepreneur and former owner of Peppers Pizza, was killed in Los Angeles under tragic and still-unexplained circumstances. As of now, authorities suspect a violent attack but have not released further details. An investigation is actively underway.

Thurton’s sudden and violent death has sent shockwaves through both the Belizean diaspora in the U.S. and the wider community back home, where she was widely respected for her entrepreneurial spirit, vibrant personality, and unwavering determination.

From Belize to Los Angeles: A Journey Fueled by Ambition

Thurton first rose to prominence in Belize as the founder of Peppers Pizza, a local eatery that quickly became a cherished staple in the community. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and flavorful menu, the restaurant was more than just a place to eat — it was a gathering point, a safe space, and a symbol of her commitment to building something meaningful in her homeland.

Friends and patrons remember Jolene as a hands-on business owner, often seen chatting with customers, mentoring young staff, and ensuring the smallest details were taken care of with pride and purpose. Her strong work ethic and easy smile earned her the admiration of many.

Several years ago, she relocated to the United States with hopes of expanding her horizons and building new opportunities. Those close to her say she carried the same fire and determination with her to Los Angeles, always dreaming big and working hard to make a better life for herself and her loved ones.

    A Life Cut Short

According to early reports, Jolene was killed in what is believed to have been a violent attack, although investigators have not yet shared specific information regarding the circumstances surrounding her death. No arrests have been made at this time, and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) continues to investigate the case as a priority matter.

Loved ones have expressed shock and grief, calling her death senseless and demanding justice. “She was full of light,” said one family member. “This should not have happened to her — to anyone.”

    A Community in Mourning

The outpouring of grief has been immediate and widespread. In Belize, social media has been flooded with tributes, memories, and condolences. Candlelight vigils and prayer services are already being planned in her honor. Her former restaurant, Peppers Pizza, has become an impromptu memorial site, with flowers, handwritten notes, and photos placed in remembrance.

In Los Angeles, the Belizean-American community has rallied around her family and close friends, offering support and organizing efforts to raise awareness about the case and keep pressure on authorities to ensure it receives the attention it deserves.

“She left a legacy of passion and perseverance,” said one former colleague. “Her life was a testament to the strength of Belizean women — bold, hardworking, and unbreakable, even in the face of the unknown.”

    A Call for Justice

As authorities continue their investigation, there is a growing chorus of voices calling for accountability. Loved ones are urging anyone with information to come forward and are pleading with the LAPD to treat the case with urgency and transparency.

Community leaders both in Belize and in the United States have echoed these calls, emphasizing that Jolene’s life matters — and that her story cannot end in silence.

“Justice for Jolene is justice for every woman trying to make a better life,” said one advocate at a recent community gathering in Los Angeles.

    Honoring Her Legacy

Though her life was stolen too soon, Jolene Thurton leaves behind a powerful legacy — one rooted in courage, compassion, and community. She will be remembered as a trailblazer who never forgot her roots, a dreamer who turned vision into action, and a friend to many whose kindness left a lasting impression.

Plans are currently underway to transport her remains back to Belize for burial, where her family hopes to give her the farewell she deserves.

  • Tragic Hit-and-Run in Butte: Police Intensify Search for Driver Who Killed Pedestrian at Locust and Garfield Streets

Tragic Hit-and-Run in Butte: Police Intensify Search for Driver Who Killed Pedestrian at Locust and Garfield Streets

BUTTE, MONTANA — In the stillness of the early morning hours on Saturday, July 19, tragedy struck the heart of Butte when a pedestrian was killed in a devastating hit-and-run crash. The fatal collision occurred around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Locust and Garfield Streets, shaking a tight-knit community and igniting a citywide call for answers and accountability.

According to a statement from Sheriff Ed Lester, the victim—a 38-year-old local resident—was walking in the area when they were struck by a vehicle heading southbound on Garfield Street. The driver did not stop, instead fleeing the scene and continuing southbound before reportedly turning west on Grand Avenue. The vehicle is believed to be dark in color, but further identifying details are still unknown.

A Life Lost in an Instant

Emergency personnel from the Butte Police Department, Montana Highway Patrol, and emergency medical services responded quickly after a 911 call reported the collision. Despite immediate life-saving efforts at the scene, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead on-site. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name, pending notification of next of kin.

“This is a senseless, heartbreaking tragedy,” said Sheriff Lester during a press briefing. “Someone’s life ended far too soon, and their family is left with nothing but questions and unbearable grief. We owe it to them and this community to find whoever is responsible.”

Public Urged to Help in Identifying the Driver

As the investigation intensifies, the Butte Police Department is urging residents—especially those living near Locust, Garfield, and Grand Avenue—to check their home security or doorbell camera footage for any signs of a vehicle passing through between 12:15 a.m. and 12:45 a.m.

Even small details such as the sound of screeching tires, a vehicle speeding by, or a car with unusual damage could be critical to the investigation.

“We are asking our community to help us connect the dots,” Sheriff Lester stated. “You might think a detail is too small to matter—but it could be the key to solving this case.”

Law enforcement officers have also begun canvassing local businesses and homes in the vicinity of the crash site, looking for any additional surveillance footage or eyewitness accounts.

    Community in Shock and Mourning

The sudden and violent nature of this loss has left the Butte community stunned and grieving. Known for its strong sense of camaraderie and support, neighbors have come together in sorrow, many expressing outrage over the cowardice of the driver who fled the scene.

“This person didn’t just hit someone—they left them to die,” said a longtime Butte resident, who lives near the scene. “We’re heartbroken. We need justice, not just for the victim’s family, but for all of us who care about our community.”

Local leaders and safety advocates have called for increased pedestrian protections in the area, including more street lighting, clearer crosswalk markings, and enhanced traffic enforcement at known high-traffic intersections like Locust and Garfield.

    Investigation and Legal Consequences

The investigation remains ongoing and is being led by the Butte Police Department in collaboration with the Montana Highway Patrol and the Butte-Silver Bow Coroner’s Office. An autopsy will be conducted to confirm the cause of death and collect additional evidence.

Authorities emphasized that fleeing the scene of a fatal accident is a felony offense under Montana law and could result in significant prison time upon conviction.

“We want to be clear: we will not rest until we find the person responsible,” Sheriff Lester reiterated. “And when we do, they will be held fully accountable under the law.”

    How to Help

    • Surveillance or dashcam footage from Locust, Garfield, or Grand Avenue taken between 12:15 a.m. – 12:45 a.m.
    • Witnesses who saw or heard anything unusual in the area at that time
    • Anyone who noticed a dark-colored vehicle with fresh front-end damage after the incident

    A Plea for Justice

As a family prepares to say goodbye to a loved one taken in an instant, Butte stands together—mourning, searching, and demanding justice. The pain of this moment is deep, but so too is the resolve of those determined to uncover the truth.

“Our community deserves answers,” Sheriff Lester said. “And this victim deserves justice.”

Let us all remain vigilant and united in our shared hope that the driver responsible will soon be identified and brought to account—so that healing can begin, and so that such a tragedy is never repeated on our streets.
