The bolt of lightning struck just after 7:00 p.m. as families, children, and scout leaders gathered on Perrineville Road for what was supposed to be a routine, joyful evening of outdoor recreation. The event, hosted by Cub Scout Pack 204, had drawn local families for a night of archery practice, fellowship, and fun — but the skies had other plans.

Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene after the powerful lightning strike tore through the field, causing widespread panic and injuries. Authorities report that both men are considered fugitives and may be evading law enforcement efforts to apprehend them. Their alleged involvement in a violent residential incident has raised concern among both investigators and the broader community.

Suspect Descriptions:

• Derrick Huggins is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing around 210 pounds. His last known address is in Little Rock, on Meldia Drive. Police caution that he may have relocated or be using aliases to avoid detection.
• Shervy Pittman Jr. is described as a Black male, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighing approximately 160 pounds. His last known residence is on Circle Drive in Pine Bluff, but like Huggins, he may be transient or hiding out with acquaintances.
