A Geisinger Life Flight helicopter, returning from a medical call, spotted Tyler’s body floating face-down in the river. Rescue teams recovered him approximately 20 to 30 yards from the city shoreline, and despite efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at UPMC Williamsport at 4:22 p.m.
